What are Emblems and Logos?
A logo is a unique sign, such as a letter or image, chosen by a specific company or organization and placed on certain merchandise to identify the producer or seller of those goods. At the same time, logo services are also utilized for necessary processes in all desired areas. With the commencement of trade, the need to distinguish a good or a specific product from its value also arises. Over time, as some products began to possess distinguishing features that set them apart from competitors and became sought-after, the necessity to easily differentiate them in a short period led to the obligation of placing certain marks on them. In times when literacy was not widespread, these marks, i.e., brands, tended to form more frequently and extensively as symbols.
To make the abstract word of a specific product or company's name, its brand, concrete and to distinguish it in form from other different products, emblems or logos need to be created through logo services.
How are Logos Made?
The words emblem and logotype, having Latin roots, translate to 'simgé' and 'özgün yazı' in our language, respectively. Nowadays, while both concepts are understood separately from old times, they are also used as a single word, 'logo'. It should be known that an emblem refers to all signs created with lines and images. A logo, on the other hand, refers to signs created with writings, or with lines, images, and writings. In both cases, the primary goal is generally to distinguish the product or company it represents in the most unique ways.
It is possible to create all kinds of deformations with letters, by bringing letters closer together, joining them, or spreading them excessively, to create differences in color and shape, by extending the extensions of letters up and down to divide words, and to place them one below the other or side by side in different colors. These are logos obtained by making various changes, i.e., deformations, to all known logo services and letter characters. Logos are generally created by adding abstract or concrete elements to writings. Symbolic elements that are most suitable for the essence of their products can also be effectively added by companies or firms.
