How Should Communication Be Between Children and Parents?
Don't Constantly Silence Children
The parent-child relationship, especially in children during their growth stages, is the biggest factor determining the child's future behavior and success. From the moment children start speaking, they become curious about everything and begin to learn. If parents, during this process, constantly hinder their child's curiosity by saying things like "Dad just got home, be quiet for a bit" or "Don't talk during meals," it leads to both failure and trust issues in children.
Listen to Them and Give Reasonable Answers
Silencing children is actually choosing the difficult path, not the easy one. However, it is observed that as children are listened to and answered, they behave more consistently over time. A child who does not have to constantly suppress their emotions and inner problems means a very well-adjusted generation. Thus, problems experienced in adolescence and at school are minimized, or a problem-free adolescent period is experienced. Every answered question is new information and experience about life.
